Newtown Police say 21 year old Reynaldo Colon of New York City was arrested Tuesday after a two-day search in the Jeremiah Road area of Newtown. Investigators say Colon is suspected of stealing vehicles in both Connecticut and New York before running from officers into the woods. Police say Colon fought officers during the arrest and punched and kicked a state police K9. He faces charges including motor vehicle theft, assault on public safety personnel, interfering with police and animal cruelty.
