Democratic state Senator Julie Kushner has won a fifth term, according to unofficial results. Kushner defeated her Republican challenger in the 24th District, which covers Danbury and parts of New Fairfield and Ridgefield. In the 107th House District, Democrat Julie Kerton defeated Republican incumbent Martin Foncello by 143 votes in the unofficial count. The district includes Brookfield and parts of Bethel and Newtown.
