Connecticut Earns F on Housing Affordability Report

Connecticut received an F grade in Realtor.com’s latest affordable housing report, ranking 46th nationwide despite leading the country in growth of new home construction permits last year. The report cites high home prices, limited land, zoning restrictions, and construction costs as major challenges. Analysts estimate the state needs about 120,000 additional housing units to balance the market.
