Police: Man charged after road rage incident

BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) Bristol police say a man in a vehicle with two children took out a gun and threatened another driver in what they called a road rage incident.

Police say 42-year-old Brett Cutler of Wolcott was on Barnes Highway Sunday when he yelled at another driver, then took out a gun and pointed it at him.

Cutler told The Associated Press Monday the other driver had been driving dangerously. He said he told him at a stoplight to stop it. He said the driver continued to drive aggressively, as if he were going to knock into his vehicle.

Cutler said he shouldn't have taken out his gun.

Cutler faces charges of reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor and second-degree threatening. He posted a $10,000 bond.

Police said Cutler had a gun permit.
