BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) Bridgeport police say a would-be robber may have shot himself.

The Connecticut Post reports that 24-year-old Alexis Vallejo showed up at the hospital early Thursday with a gunshot wound.

A short time later 45-year-old Napoleon Orellana showed up at the same hospital with a head wound.

He told police Vallejo had entered his car, attempted to rob him, and struck him with a gun. He told police the gun went off, striking Vallejo.

Police recovered a gun from Orellana's car.

Chief Joseph Guadett Jr. says police are seeking arrest warrants in the case, which remains under investigation. Vallejo could not be reached for comment Friday. A listed phone number for him could not be found.
