NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) A 20-year-old New Haven man has been critically wounded in a shooting at a city gas station.
Police say Donald Keys was shot in the head shortly after 8 a.m. Monday near the door of the Sunoco Gas Station and convenience store on Foxon Boulevard.
Police say Keys was in critical but stable condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital and was able to talk to medical personnel.
Police say those at the scene were cooperating with police, but no one could provide a description of the shooter or any getaway vehicle.
The shooting led to traffic backups during the city's morning rush hour. Roads near the crime scene remained close through Monday morning.
