2 officers, 2 citizens hurt in Hartford police chase crash

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Hartford authorities say a suspect in a stolen minivan rammed into police cruisers and damaged at least six other vehicles during a chase that ended in a crash and the suspect in custody. Two officers and two citizens were brought to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley says the suspect stole the minivan in the North End on Friday afternoon after the driver got out to talk to someone. Officers spotted the stolen vehicle and chased the suspect, who rammed cruisers and other vehicles before crashing at Main Street and Mahl Avenue.

Foley says a third officer may have suffered a minor injury.

The suspect's name hasn't been released. Foley says the man wasn't hurt, and he will be facing numerous charges.
