EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) State police charged a 16-year-old boy with sexually assaulting a woman in a commuter parking lot in East Hartford, only hours after he was arrested in connection with a home invasion and sexual assault in the same town.

Authorities announced the charges in the commuter lot case Friday. His name wasn't released because of juvenile offender laws.

State police say a woman was sexually assaulted in the early morning hours of Sept. 3 in the commuter lot off Route 15. Another woman was sexually assaulted by a suspect who broke into her East Hartford home on Sept. 19.

The teen was charged Thursday with attempted murder and sexual assault in both cases.
