NORWALK, Conn. (AP) - State police have taken over the investigation into the death of an infant at a home day care run by the daughter of Norwalk's mayor.
The Hour of Norwalk reports the 4-month-old girl was receiving CPR when emergency responders arrived on Wednesday afternoon after receiving a call that there was a medical emergency at the day care.
The infant was later pronounced dead at Norwalk Hospital.
The Hour reports that Mayor Harry Rilling's daughter, 47-year-old Christine Limone, has run a licensed day care from the home since June, 2002.
No charges have been filed.
A phone number listed for Limone was no longer in service Thursday. The mayor did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
The chief medical examiner's office says an autopsy has been scheduled for Friday.
