Home day care worker's license suspended after girl, 4, dies

NORWALK, Conn. (AP) - State officials have suspended the child care provider license for the daughter of Norwalk's mayor after a 4-month-old girl was found unresponsive last week at her home day care and died at a hospital.

The unidentified infant died at a hospital after police responded to Christine Limone's home on Wednesday.

The state Office of Early Childhood on Thursday made the emergency action to suspend her license.

Officials say they won't disclose a how the girl died until further tests, including a toxicology analysis, can be completed.

State police are investigating.

Officials say Limone and investigators are expected at an administrative hearing on Thursday. She hasn't been charged.
