Mom of infant tossed from bridge loses home in fire

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) - A woman whose infant son died last year after he was allegedly thrown from a bridge now has seen her home severely damaged by a fire.

Middletown's mayor said Adrianne Oyola and her mother "lost everything" in a fire that broke out in the kitchen of their apartment Wednesday night. Mayor Daniel Drew asked on Facebook for donations from residents to help the family recover from the fire.

Oyola's 7-month-old son, Aaden, died in July 2015.

His father, Tony Moreno, has been charged with murder.

Police say Moreno threw the boy into the Connecticut River around the time he exchanged angry text messages with the boy's mother, telling her "Enjoy your life without us now" and "Your not a parent anymore."
