Greenwich GOP charged with sexual assault for allegedly pinching woman in groin area

A Greenwich Republican has been charged with sexual assault for pinching a woman in the groin area.  The Greenwich Daily Voice reports that 71-year old Christopher von Keyserling was arrested in Greenwich Town Hall on Wednesday.  On December 8th, von Keyserling and a 57-year old woman spoke briefly about politics and she told him  "it was a new world politically" and he had to educate his fellow politicians.

The warrant says he allegedly replied "I love this new world, I no longer have to be politically correct".  After further back and forth, he allegedly called her a lazy, bloodsucking union employee.

The warrant says the woman said "(expletive deleted) you" and walked into her office, followed by von Keyserling, who was looking to talk with her co-worker.  According to the warrant, the woman and her co-worker left.  As  she walked by, he allegedly pinched her in the groin area.  The Daily Voice reports that he allegedly said to the woman "it would be your word against mine and nobody will believe you".

Von Keyserling was told to not have any contact with the woman and to stay away from the town facility until he was contacted by the facility's executive director.  The Daily Voice reports that Police say surveillance camera footage is consistent with the sequence of events described by the complainant.
