HEBRON, Conn. (AP) A Hebron middle school teacher who was struck by a vehicle outside the school has died.

The family of Dawn Mallory announced on Friday the death of the seventh-grade teacher.

Mallory, of Groton, was critically injured after being struck in the RHAM Middle School parking lot in Hebron on March 14 by a parent who was dropping off children and backed into her. She was 65.

Authorities say Elizabeth Everett of Hebron was driving her sport utility vehicle through the parking lot when she mistakenly entered a bus loading and unloading zone.

The crash has remained under investigation. No charges have been filed.
