A former Newtown police officer has filed a lawsuit claiming she faced discrimination, retaliation, and lost promotional opportunities because she is a woman. Felicia Figol says department leadership subjected her to harsher scrutiny and limited her advancement during her nearly 21 years with the department. The lawsuit names Police Chief David Kullgren and the town as defendants and seeks damages, back pay, and lost benefits.
