New Milford officials are moving ahead with plans to install new traffic lights at Grove Street and Hine Hill Road in an effort to reduce speeding and crashes. Town officials say the intersection saw 70 crashes over a three-year period, with about 40 percent causing injuries. Mayor Pete Bass says the project is aimed at improving safety along the busy roadway, which handles roughly 14-thousand vehicles a day.
