Danbury health inspectors issued serious violations to 10 restaurants, including several food trucks, and five schools during April inspections. Problems included improper food temperatures, sanitation concerns and chemicals stored near food. The violations had to be corrected within 72 hours, and in most cases businesses and schools fixed the issues during or shortly after inspections. Mayor Roberto Alves says the inspections are part of ongoing efforts to protect public health.
