A Brazilian evangelical church wants to turn a former Danbury restaurant into its new home. Rescue Evangelical Church is seeking five zoning variances for the former Koo restaurant at Hayestown and East Pembroke roads. Plans call for Sunday services drawing about one hundred thirty people, plus smaller weeknight gatherings. Zoning Board of Appeals members raised parking concerns and requested an interior floor plan. The hearing remains open until next month.
