Regional School District 12 Superintendent Donald Schels and three other administrators are on paid leave while an independent investigation examines allegations of sexually inappropriate comments about a female employee in a 2024 text chain. Assistant Principal Michael Croft, Agriscience Director Tyler Cremeans and Dean of Students Matthew Perachi were also placed on leave. The district says the action is not disciplinary and no conclusions have been reached.
