Connecticut transportation workers will receive up to one million dollars in uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage under a new agreement signed by Governor Ned Lamont. The protection applies to Department of Transportation employees injured by uninsured drivers while working, including in active work zones. The agreement honors a worker who was killed by an uninsured driver in 2024.
