Connecticut birdwatchers are taking part in the annual Summer Bird Counts, a citizen science effort aimed at tracking breeding bird populations across the state. Sponsored by the Connecticut Ornithological Association, the counts are being conducted at eight locations through early July and help monitor both common and declining bird species.
