Connecticut residents have until the end of July to pay motor vehicle taxes before penalties begin. Unpaid bills become delinquent after the 30-day grace period and accrue interest at 1.5% per month. Municipalities may also place a hold on future vehicle registrations until overdue taxes are paid.
