Police activity in Newtown led to delayed school dismissals after two individuals ran from a crash along Interstate 84. Authorities say the incident happened just before 1:30 Wednesday afternoon when Connecticut State Police asked Newtown Police Department for help tracking down the suspects near The Boulevard. Schools and nearby residential facilities were alerted as a precaution while officers searched the area. One of the suspects was later located and taken into custody on School House Hill Road. State police are now handling the criminal investigation.
