Connecticut boating officials are reminding residents to stay safe on the water as National Safe Boating Week begins today. State environmental officials say 45 people have died in recreational boating incidents on Connecticut waters since 2018. The state is also highlighting tougher boating under the influence laws and increased patrols on Candlewood Lake ahead of the busy summer boating season.
