Police in Newtown say a 23 year old clerk at Oak Barrel Wine and Spirits has been charged after allegedly selling alcohol to a 20 year old customer. Officers say they spotted the underage man leaving the Church Hill Road store carrying alcohol during a check prompted by complaints about possible underage sales. The clerk was issued a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court today.
